Vince Cable, MP to Debate credit crunch with Bristol Businesses

Mike Popham has organised an economic summit at The Council House, Bristol on Thursday 29th January from 4 - 7 pm. Vincent Cable MP will lead this vital debate and provide advice and guidance to Bristol's businesses as they face up to the credit crunch and recession.
Vincent Cable has warned, however, that "the vicious contraction now taking place in the economy, particularly the retail sector, will knock a big hole in local shopping centres.
Mike Popham said "In this difficult environment it is important that we all do our bit to support local shopping centres. The major chains are looking after themselves by squeezing their suppliers. The local independent shops don't have that luxury and depend on their customers".
