Bristol Job Seekers Grow by 60% in One Year

Commenting on the recent news on Bristol's job seekers Liberal Democrat Prospective Member of Parliament for Bristol East, Mike Popham said: "Over the last decade Gordon Brown has allowed the British economy to get hopelessly out of control and people in Bristol are now paying the price. Britain is now officially in recession. Jobseekers allowance claimants in the Bristol City Council area numbered 4,627 in December 2007 yet one year on in December 2008 it stood at almost a staggering 60% higher at 7,349."
