Brislington West's Cllr Peter Main Supports Continued City Lib Dem's Successes

Cllr Peter MainTimes are difficult for everyone so Liberal Democrats in Bristol are determined to keep costs and therefore taxes down. We surveyed nearly 2,000 households across Bristol East constituency on what they wanted, and they clearly said they wanted services protected but any increase in tax kept around inflation. Cllr Peter Main, Brislington East's long serving Cllr said "This is what we have done:

  • Council tax increase well below inflation
  • £4m invested into elderly care
  • £250,000 invested into parks
  • Bureaucracy and waste CUT by £12m

We are cutting waste in the Council through redesign of our services to increase capacity, speed things up, improve quality and reduce costs"
