"David Cameron's competence to lead must be questioned", Bristol East prospective Member of Parliament Mike Popham said.
"Trumpeting local Tory candidate Adeela Shafi as 'one of a new generation of women MPs' was a clear mistake in the 'changed' Tory Party's selection techniques." he added.
According to national and local news reports, Adeela Shafi has had 3 county court judgments against her. One of them amounted to almost £325,000!
Michael Goulden Stockwood's Lib Dem Candidate for Bristol City Council, says he feels that people in his ward would expect an MP to have their whole minds on the job of representing the community and therefore isn't surprised that Mike Popham has questioned David Cameron's competence to deliver basic effective selection techniques for the Tory party.
Local college lecturer, Adeela Shafi was specially selected by Cameron to open for him at the 2008 Tory Conference.
He then endorsed her as a Parliamentary candidate and campaigned in her Bristol East constituency along with his shadow cabinet team.
