Listening on the doorstep - one way Liberal Democrats serve the local community

Cllrs Jackie Norman and Peter Main are supporting the Brislington Community Partnership in the fight for the whole community's right to use the Wicklea Centre.

Bristol City Council and Young Bristol are negotiating a possible new lease of the Centre, which is currently used by several community groups catering for all ages.

A meeting of all interested parties will take place soon.

Jackie said "I welcome the youth facilities that Young Bristol will bring but I'm determined that other users of Wicklea should not be excluded."

The Brislington West Focus Team will keep residents informed of developments.

N.b., Bristol Community Partnership is drawing up a Community Action Plan and wants residents' input. Leaflets will be going out in the area over then next few weeks telling you about a consultation meeting.
